anyone else vote the same? The girl has a disney voice..why not put her vocals to use from ensemble to a lead role..
I like Belle... *eyes roll to back of head insanely*

no, even better, jessica grove for Ariel.
yes, she would be a great belle, but she's still a little young looking. while ariel is 16 years old, which would suit her better.

Jess was actually Megan's competition for Belle! Back in March and April, they were auditioning and it came down to the two of them for the role and obviously we know who got it! But I am really hoping they give the role to Jess next. She deserves it and has been in the 'biz so long! Hopefully they will consider her again.

Liked her as Dorothy in Wizard, she made you forget the original. Hopefully she'll get a shot in a lead soon on broadway.

es. it came down to Jess and Megan and Disney made the wrong choice.. who dropped their casting on their heads?? Sorry, Jess blows Megan out of the water on ANY day..

I loooooved her as Dorothy in "Wizard of Oz." I saw that show once at MSG and a bajillion times when it came on tour to my area. She has such a beautiful voice. I've also seen her three times as Miss Dorothy in "Millie" and she was wonderful in that too.

She's been in the 'biz so long? Please...she's what...20? 21? She's got a lot of time left and she'll have plenty of lead role opportunities. Yes, she'd be great, but I'm sure she's having a great time as an understudy/chorus and learning a lot for her next role.

she has been working since she was pretty young, first of all.
She is having a good time? How do you know this? Did she tell you? For all you know, she could be very unhappy in her current job and only staying there for now because she needs the money. You don't know.

Whoa...simmer down there buddy. I was just trying to offer some differing opinions there. FYI, I had the priviledge of seeing Jessica as Miss Dorothy and I thought she was wonderful. She has a great career ahead of her. Thank god I didn't say anything bad about Sutton...someone may have come straight through my computer screen to claw my eyes out.

No.. I would claw you like that if you kept going off on Jess..
Thpse may be your opinions, but they may be inaccurate assumptions.
Jess had an audition the other day for a TV show... starring LIL BOW WOW!! Oh my God.. if she gets that job and takes it.. she WILL get smacked. lol. But hey, if she DID take it, she could be billed as JGro.
No one's gone off on Jess, broadwayguy2.
You're the only one saying anything even remotely agitated in this thread.
Go lay down.

Just to clarify...when I said she's been "in the 'biz" for a long time, I mean she's been working since she was very young, she's been practically non stop for ten years! I know a lot of people in it for longer than ten years still haven't gotten their "big breaks" but she is very talented and I enjoyed her as Miss Dorothy more than I enjoyed Megan McG.
Oh GAWD, not this again. The constant adulation heaped upon this girl and now this bitter feuding is simply incredible to me. I'm sure 300 girls auditioned for the same role BG2. I STILL don't know WHO this is you're all so obsessed with but it did give me a major chuckle.
The girl really is amazing. I've been a big fan since The Wizard Of Oz. I saw it twice with her, than saw her as Eponine (AWE-INSPIRING), and than I saw her three times in Millie, unfortunately never as Dorothy. That's such a shame she wasn't cast as Belle. She is an absolutely phenomenal performer, and is a true triple threat.
Yes! Jessica would be a great Belle. Maybe she'll get the role someday, that would be great. If she gets it sometime I would definitely see it. Her voice is perfect for Belle. =)

Love ya BWG2 but nobody was ripping on Jess...Starlight actually was giving a compliment...Said she WILL have a great career....It DOES suck she didnt get Belle but she is INCREDIBLE and WILL get amazing parts with time! Hopefully sooner rather than later! Power to J Grove power....LOL this post sounds like a 12 yr old wrote it....

I think Jessica would make a wonderful Belle, as well. She has had a great career so far, and the future only looks bright for her.

I don't feel Jessica is just another random chorus girl. She has had some great understudy opportunities. I know when I go to a show if I see an understudy, I generally remember them. Especially if I enjoyed their performance. I had the chance to see Jessica as Eponine and Miss Dorothy as well. She was incredible both times and really seemed to give her all. There isn't a doubt in my mind over why she has many fans. That is not to say EVERYbody has to love her.
