I think it was in Boston winter or spring of 2003.
I didn't go, but a friend of mine became obsessed..
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

The last tour wrapped up in late 2004/early 2005. Personally, I thought it was undercast - there were maybe 18 people in the entire cast (all the female cast including Mary Magdalene had to double and triple up), and the set was large and devoured the actors. It also had the giant light cross of doom which blinded the audience no less than three times during the night.
That said, it also had the incredible Natalie Toro as Mary Magdalene.

I thought the set was really interesting. Of course it looked old biblical times w/ columns and stuff, but then modern things would be flown in and whatnot, it was really cool. I don't remember the score being amazing; only that the guy who played Jesus had an incredible voice & range. And that Mary Magdalene had the best song in the show.
And fine CatsNYRevival, I'll cave in and get the CD - Happy?!

I saw it, but I agree with the "undercast" comment.
Also, they were all pretty talented, but no one really seemed to have their hearts in it.
