Watch it. Amber Tamblyn is a talented singer/dancer as well as being one of the finer young actors today. Don't forget her bloodlines - her father is Russ Tamblyn (Riff in WEST SIDE STORY both on Broadway and in the film).

It also happens to be a fantastic show. It has many rabid fans on this board.

??? Confuzzled...do you mean they're doing a musical episode, ala Buffy's "Once More, With Feeling?" I know 7th Heaven is supposed to be doing one with famous love songs...

I'm a rabid fan. I agree that Amber is a standout on the show but am equally enthusiastic about the rest of the cast (not to mention harboring a crush on the Ritter kid).

A musical, huh?! Well As Raith said she comes from a talented father (don't forget Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Tom Thumb, and Hit THe Deck --okay you can forget that last one).

I hope they know what they are doing.

Actually, Amber sang and danced a few times on General Hospital with Stuart Damon who played her father - they used to do a variety show once a year (I'm sure that makes no sense, but trust me, they did). So I can tell you that she's quite good. However, I don't know if she's supposed to be any good in this instance. This is Joan of Arcadia, after all...

JoA is a wonderful show. Amber is very talented. It's funny I hated her on GH, when she was younger but she really has talent.

On topic, I thought it looked maybe like a CATS shoutout.

SW, I think when she was quite a bit younger on GH she was a bit rough, but grew a lot over her years on the show. By the time she left, it took them 2 years to dare to try and replace her. There are days when I watch GH and wish she was still there - how she'd be sinking her teeth into certain storylines her former character has had over the past couple of years. But in the long run, I'm thrilled she's gone on to bigger things.

I agree, I also don't usually like younger actors. Like Kirsten Dunst REALLY bothered me when she was younger but once she did "The Virgin Suicides", I started to tolerate her.

Awesome! I love Joan of Arcadia. Pretty much every episode I cry like a baby. Amber Tamblyn is pretty freaking amazing. She always looks great at all the awards and stuff. And she's a published poet!

No, it's not like the Buffy episode. In every episode of Joan of Arcadia, God gives Joan a task. This week, he tells her to audition for the school musical. It's some kind of Zombie thing.

It was ok. The mention of them going to North Carolina School of the Arts together at the end made me smirk.
