omg! Why is Hunter Foster leaving??? I still haven't seen LSOH!!! I don't wanna see it w/ Joey Fatone! WHY???!!!!
I'm kinda annoyed that he leaves the day of the Tony's. However - Joey Fatone? I think a closing notice would be more dignified than succumbing to stunt casting like that. But Yay for him as Leo Bloom - even though I am still somewhat shocked. I guess he is good for that role, but its still hard to see him in it!
OH man I was soooo hoping that this rumer turned out to be false...ugh!!
This has been in the works for months though.

They're desperate to draw in the summer crowds.

Looks like Broadway.com is slacking...
Maybe Broadway.com got slowed down waiting to verify the story ...
BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!
(I couldn't even say it without laughing.)
Let me start by saying that I am NOT necessarily a fan of Fatone's, but...
I, for one, am very excited by this news. I was one of the few that thought he played a great Mark in RENT.
He had a rather confident and warm stage presence, not to mention the fact that he can really sing quite well.
This sucks that Hunter Foster is leaving. One of the reasons is because im seeing it on June 11th and that is soo close to his leaving date taht im mad! Oh well i hope his standby is good. Anyone know? I also would like to see how hunter does in The Producers. Wow a lot is happening in broadway this week!
Hunter was the best thing about LSOH--he will be great in The Producers--may have to see it again (ok, probably not. 3 times is enough.)
Where'd you hear about him playing Leo? My dad and I thought he and Bartlett would be a great BialyBloom Pair! I'm not one for stunt casting, but if he's good why not?
That is harsh.
What's harsh? Lol, nm to my question. I just saw the "Producers welcome Foster" thread!
Uh I was referring to Joey in LSOH, but you know, whatever floats your boat.
Let's give Joey a chance. He is an established music star and cut his teeth on RENT respectably, I think that we could all be surprised and he might turn out to be fabulous. I'll be eager to hear ...

Dolly, that would make too much SENSE...
I have to wonder ...
Had Hunter Foster joined a boy band instead of going to Broadway
.....and Joey Fatone had landed a part in Urinetown..
well...
would Hunter be treated in this manner ....
YOU BETCHA!!

How do you know they sat on the story?
Joey going into LSOH isn't really big news. It's been circulating for several months.
Against Hugh, Hunter doesn't really stand that much of a chance for an actual win, no?
"thank god the producers were nice and put him in their other show the producers.... only thing nominated from the show and they let him go.... "
That statement is simply ludicrous.
Wow- I'm surprised LocalOne isn't here bragging and claiming he broke the scoop...

Stop!
Get over yourself. I asked a simple question. Did I hit a nerve? How do you know Broadway.com sat on the story...?
...unless you work for them. And if that is the case, your post about the producers is extremely unprofessional.

boy, little shop must be doing really badly for them to pull out the heavy artilery. i feel bad for the cast (all rising stars) having to be pushed to the back for joey fatone. this continues with my theory that broadway is going to big names and not real actors.
