Just received the new brochure from the New Theatre, Cardiff and read that this year's panto will be Robin Hood, starring John Barrowman (Dec 12 to January 24). I guess he'll be popping up from the Torchwood HQ under the Wales Millennium Centre in Lincoln Green and rushing over to the New Theatre. lol

haha indeed hopefully no aliens will invade cardiff for those weeks.

The New Theatre actually announced this while last year's panto was still running!! Claiming 'it's never too early to book for panto'

I saw JB in the previous panto he did in Cardiff and it was a really fun evening-first panto I'd seen since I was a young 'un!

Yep, these posters were all over the New Theatre on Dec 24th!
He actually requested that they take 'Robin Hood' to the New after its success in Birmingahm last year.
Of course, Cardiff just happens to be his home town too!

Qudos are always getting their panto's ready at least 2 years in advance.

They have asked that one of their productions to be penciled in at the London Palladium for Xmas 2010/11.

I knew it was early Mama! Fair play though if you've secured your panto and your star why not get people thinking about it just when they're thinking 'I've just had a great night at the panto'

I heard good things about this in Birmingham so I'm happy I get to see it in my home town too! (and yes it must be nice to spend Panto season going home to your own home for JB)

Its the fastest selling panto in Cardiff since the Stan Stennett pantos of the late 60s and early 70s!
Not bad for May!

Glad I've got my tickets already then! Wasn't this one some kind of record breaker in Birmingham also? (Fastest selling to date then perhaps?)
