John Barrowman to "marry"...

Just announced here in London that John Barrowman will have a civil partnership ceremony with his longtime partner, architect Scott Gill (they have been together for 14 years).

John is planning the ceremony at Christmas time when his family is in the U.K. visiting.

In a statement he said :

"We don't need to legitimise our relationship to each other or our family but we need that bit of paper to be recognised in society."

Barrowman recently served as a judge in the hunt to find a Maria for the new production of "Sound of Music" produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber in England. The search was done as a reality show titled "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria". His spin-off series from "Doctor Who" (where he played space agent Captain Jack), "Torchwood" goes to air shortly.

Cause a UK judge just ruled that the Civil Partnership Act is not marriage even though its identical in legal effects.

The short story is that Tony Blair was too chicken to call it marriage like in Spain and Canada. The British public dont give a crap but some of our leaders still seem to be hung up about it....perhaps he has been hanging around with Bush too much!

Anyone see the Trailer for Robin Williams' new movie where he runs for president? He says "Why make such a big deal about Same Sex Marriages, Anyone who is married knows that its the "Same Sex" every night!"

Thought this was a good spot for that anecdote. Hooray for John! I loved him on Doctor Who.

I wish they wouldn't put this in "quotes". His relationship is no less valid than a heterosexual marriage.
