I never finished reading DIARY OF A MAD PLAYWRIGHT, but I remember early on in the book that when Mike Nichols was involved he wanted to do it with two men in drag.
It is looking like Nichols was right all along.
Saw the show a few years back starring Joan Collins and Linda Evans. Not many laughs, but these old gals were in waaaaay over their heads.
