I have tix for the 9th 2:00 show on stage I hope the strike is over by then. If not will John Extend because I really want to see him once more.
Any talk on who's replacing him? I could see Gerard

Gerard will not be replacing him.
Apparently this is because he has been so good at every role he has understudied.

Posted: 11/13/07 at 8:35pmThe strike won't effect him. I asked John Lloyd Young, from Jersey Boys, if the strike would cause him to extend his stay and he said no it wouldn't. It's so sad that these guys aren't going to spend their last few days performing.

Uggggh, I had tickets for tomorrow's show which clearly will not happen. The idea was to see the show while the main key players were still around.
Sigh..I'll be really disappointed if he's leaving shortly.

Posted: 11/14/07 at 10:15amhe's said that to many people, but it's not true. several people have been informed of the final show date (in confidence, i imagine), but it's certainly gotten around and isn't too hard to find the actual date.

The actor's name that is rumored to be his replacement is BLAKE BASHOFF, 26 yrs old-looks very young for his age-and has been on LOST this past season. Not too much theater background though. This should prove to be interesting if true. I am sure the casting people for SA know what they are doing. But Johnny has some big shoes to fill.

He's going into the show next month.

Posted: 12/5/07 at 9:29amAccording to a fan on the Spring Awakening fansite, who spoke to John at the Stage Door, he told her they are "working things out" for him to just take a long break from the show and then return. What the hell? Now is is not leaving...I have a headache from all this confusion...and sadly, beginning to not care anymore.
