"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Posted: 2/15/07 at 8:19pmI met Glover years ago and he was very sweet and quite funny--but then I wasn't working with him. I think he'll be very good and very interesting--I hope so anyway.

This will be interesting. He has a very interesting voice and I think he'll be great as Man In Chair.
The only things of his I know are The Riddler(even though it was his voice, his interpretation was the best one; If you're so smart why aren't you rich?) on BTAS(Batman The Animated Series), Dr. Woodrue in Batman and Robin, and the part he had in Gremlins Two.

Posted: 2/16/07 at 1:57amHe's a hilariously campy villain in Smallville. Over-the-top comes to mind, but it makes me laugh so hard. I'm actually pretty interested to see what he'd do with this role.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Mr. Glover is not aging well?
I just saw him this last week and he's looking rather...rough.

Posted: 2/16/07 at 11:31amI agree that Bob IS the Man in Chair----I saw it once with him and once with his u/s and the difference was very very obvious. The heart of the show was lost w/o him. I'm very skeptical that John G. can keep the same level of enthusiasm. (I'll be very interested to hear how he does--but I probably won't rush back to see it)

Wow, another Batman: TAS fan! We're a rare breed in these parts...

"Good luck. A friend of mine worked with him and said he's an incredibly rude and self-absorbed individual."
This simply isn't true. John is one of the kindest and most selfless people I have ever met. He does amazing work for the Alzheimer's Association leading the Memory Walks. I have never known him to anything but a true professional and a wonderful human being.
I can't wait to see him as "The Man in the Chair"

Posted: 2/18/07 at 10:13pmi don't know much of john glover's work, so i'm hoping my fellow BWW users who are excited to see him are right. to me, bob martin is irreplaceable in this show. i can't picture anyone else as the man in the chair, but we'll see. i'm definetely open to new possibilities!
