Having met John and exchanged letters and emails, I know he has a good sense of humor. But I think its more subtle and not as out there as Christian's or Bobby's. He is a great guy though.

I'm seeing it October 20! I'm so happy he extended!

I'm so happy he's extended! I want to maybe see it again for my birthday this year, like I did last year or maybe the night before. My guess, is the contract will probably last to March.

On a side note, does anyone know if Bobby, Christian, and Daniel have extended? I heard something about them extending, and I actually wrote a letter to Christian and part of it was if he was extending, but I didn't get a letter back from him yet.

Bobby and Christian have both extended for another year, and I only know that Daniel has extended. I don't know when he's leaving.

That was my reaction when I heard Christian and Bobby extended, neddy. I can't imagine the show without the two of them.

I, for one, am thrilled at the news! I have always wanted to see an original cast on Broadway, and now it looks like I will! Thank you, thank you and thank you again! Oct. 24th cannot get here fast enough!

I think it kind of started out as something he said to a fan at the stage door, and word spread from there? I'm not sure. That's how I heard it.

But, yes, he's apparently not doing matinees anymore. So he'll be doing six shows a week after his vacation is over.

I'm so happy he finally annouced he's extending. I just need to get to NYC to finally see his performance!

That role is so tough, I think it's good they're having him only perform evenings.

That was just really rude.

The man was sick! Give it up! Don't bother posting in here then!

Don't even bother to argue with me. I'm done.

A friend of mine was at the stage door on the day of the flea market, and told me that John told her to tell me (confusing) that he would be extending, that he would be on a two week vacation from now until October 16th, and that he was no longer doing matinees (except for Sundays).

Maybe something has changed? Has he done any recent matinees?

Anyways, I hope Matt Scott finally gets to go on as Frankie. I think he'd be great!

Matt Scott is incredible at anything he does. What a talent that man has.

I would love to see him as Frankie.

I knew hearthatstrue would comment about Matt :). He's truly a talented guy.

I think he should go on as Frankie instead of Gaudio October 8th *cough* *cough*.

Funny that he says that toddlers were worried about him leaving.

What exactly are you implying, popular_elphie? Huh.

But, yes, he is an extremely talented guy. I hope to see him originating a leading role one day.

And I agree with that thought. :)

The toddler reference has now been explained on JLY's blog for those of you who didn't think it was cute....

"Almost every day at the stage door, JERSEY BOYS fans tell me how their little kids love the JERSEY BOYS album. This is a joke for all you parents (OK, and an excuse to post the hilarious photo...)"

Has anyone heard if he also intends to take Tuesday, 7pm shows off in addition to matinees? (He has previously mentioned that if he takes any days off, it would be Tuesdays and matinees, but that was before his contract extension)
