This was from his blog:
"Toddlers across the country are exhausted from worrying that today was my last performance in JERSEY BOYS. The next time your toddler demands you play "Sherry" for the fifth time in a row, tell her John Lloyd Young is supposed to come back for a several-month extension after a well-deserved two-week vacation, starting tomorrow."

very happy that he's extending!:0)
Wahoo! But wait is he extending for another year?
yaaaay! this is great news...now only if the jersey boys student rush will be more available (I'd dig a lotto rather than trekking out to the theater at 7AM), all will be good on broadway...at least at Jersey Boys :)
"several-month extension". I'm guessing maybe 3 months, just through the holidays. I'll go out and say January 14 will be his last show.

My guess is that March 11. Why, I have no idea. 5 months are coming back from vacation.
Some interesting facts. The word SUPPOSED TO, is very interesting. Maybe there is still some last minute things outstanding.
Also, he has removed the blurb about being able to take one day a week off. My guess is that he will only come back at a 6 show a week schedule.
I agree with Gpvegas. I think it will be six months, and he'll probably leave for pilot season.

lol i love that entry
:) yay!!!!!!! Im so happy
My guess is 6 month extension and I remember someone saying they thought he might not do matinees anymore, so that could cover the "My guess is that he will only come back at a 6 show a week schedule."
Good, he needs to make up for missed performances. I couldn't be happier that he's extending.

What an interesting title for this thread...
Anyway, grats to him and may he keep up the good work.
I think his blog entry is funny.

John Lloyd has a different sense of humor and I think the blog entry was meant to be funny... although some people are taking it as calling fans toddlers for making a big deal out of it and also making him seem like he is full of himself. I really do think he meant it to be funny though...
As for the extension I have heard 6 months and no mats...
