and john was great in that! i think that was his bway debut but not sure.

They showed a clip of his performance in Nine this past weekend on "On Stage!" He looked good, but not as good as Antonio. And from the clip, he didn't sound that great. It doesn't seem like the right role for him. 
I don't think I'll be seeing that production anytime soon anyway. Something about seeing Eartha Kitt in barely any clothes is keeping me far, far away.

Posted: 11/4/03 at 5:01pmJohn is actually pretty darn good in Nine. I haven't seen him since his 1st week of previews when he was extremely nervous, but he's much better than I'd expected & apparently getting better. What he does have over Antonio is the audience can understand what he's saying.
