Dramamama611, thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it.
And here's a comical moment from the Point Foundation gala that I couldn't fit into my story. Michael Mayer, the Tony Award-winning director of 'Spring Awakening' who cast Jonathan as Melchoir, presented the Point Horizon Award to him: 'I fell for Jonathan at his first audition when he did this crazy thing with his stomach. It was listed on his special skills, so I asked him to do that stomach thing. And he did. And maybe, if he drinks enough, Jonathan will do it all for you. It's unforgettable. As was his performance in 'Spring Awakening' - it was deep, honest and fearless.'
So when Jonathan took the stage, he announced: 'Just to get us warmed up, I'm gonna do the stomach thing. I learned I could do this in first grade. But could you please NOT take pictures of it?' He then lifted the front of his shirt and caused his stomach muscles to ripple like a wave. The audience roared with delight.
