Does anybody know how the rush has been going? I can't be there when the Box Office opens, and I am wondering if I have a chance in hell if I go later in the day. Or, do you have a suggestion for a rush that typically doesn't sell out? Thanks in advance.
Just last week I rushed Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder at 2:30 in the afternoon and got a front-row seat!

I rushed Joplin about a month ago. I got to the box office around 11 AM and was given third row, house left. The people in front of us ended up changing their seats, so we moved up. The view isn't too bad, but it's definitely loud.
I second the Gentleman's Guide suggestion. I rushed it today close to noon for the matinee and had decent seats. Good luck!
Thank you! Unfortunately, I am 41, so I am not eligible for the Gentleman rush. I will give it a shot with Joplin. If they don't have them, then I just enjoy the city tonight. I get into Manhattan at 3:45PM, and I have had success in getting Rush tickets for less-attended shows. I'm seeing After Midnight, Big Fish, and First Date, so I won't be out in the cold otherwise. :)
If you like Carole King, it may be worth swinging by the Sondheim. I got there early in the a.m., and tickets for both shows (if it's a two-show day) go on sale at that time. But you may be lucky. We really enjoyed the show, and the view from the rear side orchestra was fine. It was well worth the $40.
