The OBCR does it for me.
When I was getting mine, I was going between Donnie Osmond and Michael Damien. I chose Damien because I liked the narrator better.

My favorite is the soundtrack with Maria Friedman since it has all the dance music for "One More Angel in Heaven" and "Those Canaan Days" that isn't included on any of the other recordings. And also the London reissue since it has "King of My Heart" and the UK tour recording that has the "Journey to Egypt" music.

I agree with Lizzie. Mainly for Hateley's astounding Narrator, but Donovan is very easy on the ears, too.

The London recording with Linzi Hateley. Not only does she have an amazing voice, she was also Carrie!
The OBC. No one can top Laurie Beechman! I live for her "Letting out a mighty roar!"

Much as I love Laurie, my heart goes to Linzi on this one.

Kelli Rabke kicks ass. She was really funny in the show, too.

The orginal Canadian recording... but I grew up with it, too.
The London recording with Linzi Hateley for me as well.
I have to say the Donny Osmond cast recording is my guilty pleasure. LOVE.IT.
London revival with Jason Donovan and Linzi Hateley.
Jason Donovan and Linzi Hately. They were my first West End show, I simply WON'T have any other recording in the house. :3
OLC. Love, love, love the male narrator. Now, it seems that they are making a new cast recording every month.
I have the Donny Osmond version. I'm a Chicagoan and he was our Joseph.
