Josh Gad vs Andrew Rannells

If Norbert Leo Butz didn't get Best Leading Actor in 2011, I think it would be between Josh and Andrew. Who do you think would win?

From little what i've seen, Josh has a great, funny performance. Maybe bigger than Andrew. So, I think Josh Gad would have probably beat Andrew for Best Actor.

I'd pay good money to see Josh beat Andrew. Preferably with a pool cue.

This year was a pretty clear case, to me, of two co-equal leads splitting votes letting Butz sneak in and win (with a third, and also excellent performance.)

Neither Gad nor Rannells had a leg up to me, and I imagine that's why voters couldn't coalesce around the frontrunner of the pair (like Billy Porter over Stark Sands or Douglas Hodge over Kelsey Grammer in years after and prior.)

I would have rather have seen Rannells get the win. I think Gad was great, but found what he did to be too stereotypical. I found Rannells choices to be more suprising.
