I can't say I'm not sorry to see him go.
Guess he got a better gig.
I hope it doesn't close early.

Posted: 6/7/05 at 2:19pmHe left to shoot the remake of Poseidon Adventure. I'll leave it to you to work out if that's a better gig or not. I am intrigued as to who the unnamed star actor they're in negotiations with to take over is though.

Popcultureboy, I thought you were surely joking about a remake of The Poseidon Adventure. Fearing that maybe it was not a joke, I web searched it. OMG, it's true. How many actresses are taking on Shelley Winters old role of Yente?
If they ever make a musical out of it,Mary Testa is a shoo-in.

I thought they had posted the closing notice.
Would a "star" in a one scene role in the second act boost the box office? If Lange and Slater can't get the box office going, I don't know anyone that they could possibly get to sign on for a couple weeks who could.

Thank God he's gone. He was awful in the role.
Didn't they originally want Ethan Hawke for the Gentleman Caller? Obviously, that can't happen, but it would be a nice thought.
