He left to shoot the remake of Poseidon Adventure. I'll leave it to you to work out if that's a better gig or not. I am intrigued as to who the unnamed star actor they're in negotiations with to take over is though.

Would a "star" in a one scene role in the second act boost the box office? If Lange and Slater can't get the box office going, I don't know anyone that they could possibly get to sign on for a couple weeks who could.

Thank God he's gone. He was awful in the role.
Didn't they originally want Ethan Hawke for the Gentleman Caller? Obviously, that can't happen, but it would be a nice thought.
