OK. I'm officially a fan now. I wasn't a huge fan of her in Wild Party (although I did like her...just not A LOT), but saw her in the Funny Girl concert (which she was buh-rilliant in), and now have seen this new video of her and Max VE singing "O Holy Night" (with new, more "P.C." lyrics), and her voice is angelic and simply astonishing!!!
When will someone get her a Bway show so she can win her Tony?!?!

I love her. There are rumors that she is going to be in the upcoming Lennon on Broadway.

Please, God, let her be in Lennon.
If you haven't already, check out Scott Alan. He's a new songwriter and she sings several of the demos available on his site. She sounds absolutely incredible. She's so nice too. Met her at Starbucks.

LOVE HER!
She really is SO understated... she'll get her moment though...
AND YAY FOR SCOTT ALAN LINKS!!!
I LOVE JULIA!!!!
I think she's a bit more underrated than understated. Just my 2 cents.
YAY for Scott Alan. Let's hope for more music soon.
Wait, what did I miss...where is this video you speak of?
It's on the main page. Go watch it. Julia and Max are app. 15 mins. into it.
It's on the That's Kentertainment holiday video on the front page. The song starts at 11:30 min. Great arrangement of Oh Holy Night.
Thanks. I love Julia, but I wasn't crazy about the arrangement. Ah, well.
She and Max sounded great together. I wasn't nuts about the recording quality though. Still great to hear it, nonetheless.
I just discovered her a few months ago on the Wild Party recording. Incredible voice.
I just discovered and fell in love with Julia Murney. I was at Miracle on Lafayette Street the other night and she was superb. She did her duet with Max von Essen, sang "The Twelve Days After Christmas" and was hilarious, and did a great trio with Alison Fraser and Jamie McGonnigal--they sang "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" "Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman" in a counterpontal thingy, and she shone throughout. Oops! I'm a fan now!

Andrew, baby, you be retahded.
Julia stole the show at PIPPIN and held tightly onto the show already belonging to her at CHESS and EDEN. I like her reply on the video to the "where are we seeing you next" question. "Some benefit I'm sure. Just show up on a Monday and I'll be singing for free!" how does this woman earn a living anyway?

Who's for finding out how hard I can slam my head against my desk?
daisy my love, I think that comment needs to directed at two other people on this thread, but you know I love it when you talk dirty to me.
Julia was SUPPOSED to be on Broadway in A Class Act after she was in the Off-Broadway production, but she took The Wild Party instead, I believe, which was supposed to transfer to Broadway, but never did.

Actually A Class Act happened months AFTER Wild Party opened, closed and didn't transfer to Broadway (Wild Party closed April 2000; Class Act opened October 2000).
There's a reason why Murney and several other cast members of the MTC production declined to go with the show to Broadway -- without going into it, let's just say that a certain person who played a large role in front of and behind the scenes was by all accounts impossible to work with -- so impossible that he and his ego led several actors to flee to other shows prior to Class Act moving to Broadway.
