I sort of hope this isn't true, because I don't have the money to blow on tickets to Wicked. But I am in love with Ms. Murney.

And yeah, we don't hunt whales here.

"And yeah, we don't hunt whales here."

Yes, even the state of Montana has an on-the-books law against it.

Anyway, yay for Julia doing something that I may, perhaps, get to see.

i would assume so because there obviously wont be room for her on Broadway unless she was the new standby or something

We all did note how the original poster said "there's nothing official yet" right? 'Cause looking for confirmation of this would be near impossible, as Espinosa succeeding Bean on Broadway, and nothing seems to have changed regarding SJB being the tour version...and Kristy Cates is replacing Ana Gasteyer for Chicago, so am I missing something?

I heard a rumor about this a while back, but I never heard of anything being confirmed yet.
I wonder if the original poster was just going based off what he/she heard. If not, a link would be much appreciated! re: Julia Murney as Elphie... I'm really curious to find out who's taking over after Steph.

Would Murney tour?

Why wouldn't she?

I wasn't suggesting that she wouldn't like touring, I was just thinking that she might be hoping to/planning on originating a part, rather than taking one that's been done by a lot of different people.

::edit:: I misworded my first post, in other words. Updated On: 12/21/05 at 01:11 AM

Well, it's not like if she took this for a few months she would be stuck with it forever or anything. It's a job and good exposure, such a high-profile show.

True, I wasn't saying it would be a bad thing for her career. It would probably be a good thing. I was just suggesting that she might be doing that as an alternative to the rumor, since we don't yet know if it's true.

::edit:: It would be an exceptionally good thing, IMO, especially after Lennon. Updated On: 12/21/05 at 01:15 AM

Hell, at this point it could be for the Tanzanian production.
