julia is a fantastic performer and a great person. why do so many people forget that actors on broadway are chosen out of thousands of actors. its not possible to be starring on broadway with no talent unless you are a huge well known celeb. period. if she screamed and sang off key, i don't think she would have the career that she does.

Well, fantastic, talented, whatever (I never said she wasn't), she doesn't have the statue to take on that role on Broadway. Unless she can do something unprecedented with her career in the next 10-15 years, she's not going to be cast as Rose on Broadway. No producer would risk it. She might be cast as someone ELSE'S understudy, but I seriously don't think we're going to see a marquis that says "MURNEY . . . GYPSY."
