One singer was a handsome Italian tenor called Julius LaRosa who Godfrey favored until professional jealousy soured the relationship. Godfrey fired him live right on the air. I think this would make a great musical perhaps featuring Jose Llana or Matt Cavenaugh as tenor LaRosa and Alec Baldwin as Godfrey. A good title for it would be "Domani" one of LaRosa's hit tunes. Maybe some enterprising composer could pick it up and try it.

I'm afraid that 99% of the audience who would know who Julius LaRosa was or would care about seeing a musical about his life are already six feet under.

Buried somewhere in my storage space is an audio recording of his notorious firing.
I did see Julius in the touring Hallelujah, Baby!
And with Diana Sands as Georgina!
