How has July 4th been for ticket availability and rush avaiblility.
I have no idea since the fact that most people watch fireworks and have plans is offset by not very many musicals being offered.

Only three Broadway shows have a performance on July 4th: Beetlejuice (matinee), My Fair Lady (matinee) and Ink (evening).

There's only ONE general rush line on 7/4 and there's no guarantee that they will even have any tickets available that day as that particular box office sometimes has no rush availability during holidays ... ask them in person in advance.

Seeing the Beetlejuice 7/4 matinee. Instead of rushing, I took some of those $59 partial view front orchs... I'm sure they're good enough.
