June Squibb on Stage ?

so I just saw June Squibb in Nebraska and she's looking like a sure-fire Oscar contender.

I know she has done a lot of regional theatre and Off-Broadway stuff so I was wondering if any of you had any experiences of seeing her perform over the years.

I believe you can hear her on The Happy Time OBC recording, and she was in the original production of GYPSY on Broadway with Ethel Merman, later joining the touring production. She played Electra .

In 1988 Cain Park in Cleveland (where she is originally from) did a production of FOLLIES and June played Stella Deems ("Who's That Woman?"). Met up with her a year or two ago in NYC and it turns out we have a few mutual friends. Lovely woman.

Didn't realize Alice Playten was in Gypsy. Just looked it up and learned she was Baby Louise.
