Well, I was just reading the Zac Efron in Equus thread, and I thought about how he was being considerred for Joseph in London. Now, reasonably speaking, i'm sure doing Joseph in america, like on Broadway, would be much easier for the actor. Then I realized, Joseph, coming to America, with Zac Efron, at a.. wait, what theatre had ALW been looking at that would be a perfect size? The Niel Simon?
Could it be? It's a stretch, I know, but Joseph has been running for quite some time in London, and perhaps a transfer has been tossed around. The rumors of Zac Efron being in Joseph do enhance any rumor of Joseph transfering, and the fact that ALW wanted the Niel simon before may mean that he's familiar with the space and willing to bring his first musical written there. Could be, who knows?

I think HAIR wants the Neil Simon.
And don't get your hopes up for Brigadoon...
A show like Brigadoon isn't going to come straight to Broadway without an out-of-town tryout, It needs that out-of-town time to hammer out the kinks, especially with a new book.
I mean, we might see it next year, but its definitely going to have to find a home out of town before it hits Broadway.

I also don't think anyone will be interested in seeing Joseph on Broadway. It has been done to death now. It goes on tour every couple years, every regional, community, high school, and church does it with annoying frequency. It also seems to be true that no new or revived Webber shows last long on the Great White Way anymore. He has lost most his appeal.

With the exception of churches it sounds like you could also be talking about Grease.
