KISS ME KATE 1952 Revival?
#1KISS ME KATE 1952 Revival?
Posted: 8/10/10 at 10:15amI was looking the show up on ibdb and there's a revival listed in 1952 that played for only 8 performances at The Broadway Theatre. I had no idea the show came back only a few months after it's original closing. Does anyone have any info on this? I'm wondering why was it revived so soon.

Posted: 8/10/10 at 12:23pmThe 3d film of the movie came out in 1952. Could this be the premiere that has been mis-identified as a live performance? They often rented a Broadway house back then for premieres.

Posted: 8/10/10 at 2:06pmThanks! How odd that they would bring the show back to such an enormous house only a fee months after closing. I can't imagine interest would have been that great especially with no names to bring people back to it.
