Which songs do you recommend I should download? I have already chosen "I Hate Men", but I have room for a few more.
Suggestions?
From the 2000 revival cast: Why Can't You Behave, Wunderbar, Too Darn Hot and Always True to You in My Fashion.
But...if you want a better overall KISS ME, KATE go with either the original Broadway cast (Masterworks Broadway) or the stereo remake (with most of the original cast) on Broadway Angel. Both are well sung and both have Alfred Drake.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
I recommend "So In Love (Reprise)"

I actually much prefer the 2000 recording to the OBCR. I recommend the whole CD, but if you have to choose one song, choose Always True to You.
Thanks, I ended up downloading the entire album (since it made the most sense to do so). However, why is FROM THIS MOMENT ON not on the recording?
I think it was because the song was interpolated from the score of "Out Of This World" and the Porter estate did not want it considered as part of the "Kiss Me, Kate" score.
Thereis a recording of Marin Mazzie and Gregg Edelman singing "From This Moment On" on the 1995 Original New York Cast Recording of "Out Of This World". DRG 94764.
The title song is also WONDERFUL on this album.
