It could have been Children of Eden, I know she sings Spark of Creation on youtube, maybe they wanted eve/noah's wife shorter than adam/noah?

I'm fairly convinced casting a tall Elphaba has little to do with height. Had to it look up and Victoria Matlock's height is 5'10".

Oddly enough, Victoria had the opportunity to play Emma opposite Kate Shindle's Lucy with Rob Evan as Jekyll/Hyde, as she was standby for both roles. Talk about 3 tall talents!

I don't think tallness is an issue for Elphaba.

Isn't Willemijn pretty tall? She was taller than Kyle Dean Massey in costume.
