Kate used to sing before she started doing movies non-stop. I'm sure with proper training and getting her voice back in shape she'd be fine.

Why she'd stop being one of the most important film actresses in the world to dick around with a stage musical is beyond me, though.

She released a single a couple of years back called "What If" and it did quite well on the British charts. She has a pretty voice, not that strong, but I've definitely heard worse. I don't see why she couldn't star a musical. With a proper vocal training she'd be allright. Maybe she'll never be a belter, but does she need to be?
