Katie Thompson in Broadway Idol

Did anyone see Katie Thompson perform in NYMF's "Broadway Idol" last Friday? she sang the hell out of "Sooner or Later"-it was so amazing, my friend and i (who were there to support someone else) were FLOORED and put in a few votes for her, and now she's in the final round and it occured to us that we might organize a giant textathon for her. I'm not sure if it's legal,but is anyone interested?

I understand if she's your friend, but come on. Anyone there on Friday KNOWS Katie took it. Even in the first round when she sang the song from "Jesus Christ Superstar"---which is totally overdone...she made everyone CRY! Jac is good, but so ordinary...I'm sorry, but if you were there you know i'm speaking truth.

I agree with lilly---i think i just posted a response to your other Katie idol message..whatever, Katie Thompson is the next big thing, and DESERVES that 'broadway idol' title. Jak is fine, and will probably do well with that predictable belt of hers, but katie has that---that THING--that IT thing that keeps me waiting for every note she sings, and DAMN what soul. I'm with you on fri, lilly.

I knew Katie back in her days in L.A. - and am thrilled she's getting some attention in NYC. She's a great talent - particularly as a songwriter.

I just heard some of her songwriting stuff on myspace, and WOW! I have Inside the Actors studio ,and theyre interviewing Barbara Striesand---who just said her first success was because she was DIFFERENT. i'm willing to get there early. reserve some seats for anyone interested
