yes, Jaclyn won and Jamison was great, and Katie was sexy and "herself" which is what I love about her...and I am sooo sad that she didn't win. but honestly, they were all so good. it really didn't look good for Jac, though that she was the only one who forgot her words,AND was flat---and won anyway. Proving the "you had more people to vote for you there" theory, not that you were the best. but they're all going to have great careers, so whatever.

way to go jimnysf --- you've managed to say absolutley nothing about the topic. Just the use of a word. Don't you have ANYTHING to say about broadway being just another tool of the movie business? how many broadway shows are actually "original"?

thanks for the link...holy crap, i can't believe its all true. I mean, i loved the first movie---but movies into musicals, i guess it's time for broadway to appeal to the masses. i'm getting tickets just to see--who knows? maybe it'll be another wedding singer. entertaining, and delightfulll...but not really a "perfect" specimen of a musical---do you think that's where broadway is headed? movie stars, and musical versions of box-office hits?

I just heard some of her songwriting stuff on myspace, and WOW! I have Inside the Actors studio ,and theyre interviewing Barbara Striesand---who just said her first success was because she was DIFFERENT. i'm willing to get there early. reserve some seats for anyone interested

I understand if she's your friend, but come on. Anyone there on Friday KNOWS Katie took it. Even in the first round when she sang the song from "Jesus Christ Superstar"---which is totally overdone...she made everyone CRY! Jac is good, but so ordinary...I'm sorry, but if you were there you know i'm speaking truth.

Did anyone see Katie Thompson perform in NYMF's "Broadway Idol" last Friday? she sang the hell out of "Sooner or Later"-it was so amazing, my friend and i (who were there to support someone else) were FLOORED and put in a few votes for her, and now she's in the final round and it occured to us that we might organize a giant textathon for her. I'm not sure if it's legal,but is anyone interested?
