I read on another board that Keala went on in Hartford. Does anyone have any details??

I saw Keala go on as Tracy in Hartford! WOW! She was incredible! Completely blew me away after the first few lines of Good Morning Baltimore. She was so energetic and was almost crying she was so happy at the curtain call and at the stage door. I was so happy for her because you can see how much she loved going on for that show. =) She was also really funny in I Can Hear the Bells. I never saw the show on Broadway and this is the only time I've seen Hairspray so I can't compare it to Broadway or anything but Keala was definitely 10/10 in my book!

I completely agree! Definitely a great performer and deserves a 10/10! I was looking forward to seeing Carly as I'd heard really great things about so her so I was disappointed when they announced the u/s but within minutes I was so impressed by Keala. Great show.

Has anyone seen the NYC show with all the replacements? I hear Kathy Brier is great as Tracy.

Yes, I have seen all the replacements. The first time I say the show Kerry, Cory ex.. where gone but Marissa was still in the show and I saw it 2x's with thats cast And it was Amazing I loved it so much. I was a little disappointed because I have bought the tickets before I know they where leaving and I ended up being 10 days late but It was soooo good Jennifer Gambatese wonderful as Penny she's different then Kerry's Penny seemed to be not as hyper maybe but she's got the "I don't get it" take on Penny down and a great voice. Chester Gregory II is out standing he's really got a voice on him he seem to be a lot shorter then Seaweed has been played off before. But height has nothing to do with talent and this boy has got it. Tracy Jai Edwards is exactly the way I pictured Amber to be just remembering from ear I recall her sounding a lot like Lura Belle Bundy from the CD and TV apprentices and things. But of course they all have there own takes that were a little different then the originals not so much the first time I saw them but by the 3rd time they have really found there Characters. Chester added his own take to the end of "Run and Tell That" and Jennifer's Penny now wears Glasses and has different flicks in a solo or 2.

Let's see who else um.. Barbara Walsh she has got the sinister thing going on Velma's not afraid to do anything to have her and Amber be the best. Her song is awesome I especially love the reprise She fit right in lite she has been there the whole time. She does a really great job. Also AJA Maria is the cutest little thing ever. Looks wise she seems to fit Lil' Inez way better then the last girl because she's small and has a tiny little voice when it comes to talking but has a good set of lungs when it comes to her solo.

ok now the third time I went I saw Kathy Brier. She was great very different then Marissa but that's not a good or bad thing she's just different. I like both of them pretty much the same. The each had something that I liked they way they did better then the other but the evened out in the end. Kathy is really great for anyone who hasn't seen the show or has only seen it with Marissa I would def. recommend seeing it with Kathy.

I can't wait till Thurs. 10/9 I'm seeing it for the 4th time front row the one Jackie Hoffman climbs across :)

Have Fun PennyLou, but Matt will be out that night (hes out for like a week and a half) so youll be seeing Adam or JJ Martin.

I couldn't be happier for her. She so deserves this! I've never known a harder working performer or anyone who loves the stage more than Keala.

ok so I'm not saying adam is bad I just have this Justin Timberlak kind of crush on Matt. I know a lot of people like Adam better but I LOVE Matt.

lol I don't mean I like him cause he looks like Justin timberlake I hat Justin. I was just referring to it like I'm one of the girls that drools over Justin but I. Drool over Matt.

I have meet Adam he's not a bad looking guys and I'm sure he's great at the part. But I don't think he'll be able to make me say Matt who.

Keala is an awesome performer...she is an amazing sister as well, someone I look up to. I wish her the best.
