Kell O'Hara in Grey Gardens?

Heard a rumor that Kelli was asked to be Little Edie in Grey Gardens when it transfers. She'll be playing, I believe, the Sara Gettelfinger part.

Anyone else hear this? Is there any truth behind it?

OH MY GOD!!!! I WOULD FREAK OUT IF THIS WERE TRUE!!! If this happens, I might find myself going to Grey Gardens once a week at least. And the Tony Award for Best Musical...Grey Gardens!

This is old news. Wasn't she offered the role a while ago, but turned it down??

That casting actually doesn't make a lot of sense in that, while O'Hara could pass for a young Ebersole in the face, she is a good six inches shorter than her...

Jennifer Laura Thompson who played the role in the workshop remains the ideal choice for Young Edie; anyone know why she isn't doing it?

when JLT left Wicked she said she would not commit to another long term project (reason why she did the Encores! concert) until her child was older.

I doubt the O'Hara rumor is true.

On the red carpet at the Tony's, she said that she was going on an extended vacation with her family and fiance after "Pajama Game" closed and really just taking a bit of a break. When she gets back, she said she is going into the studio and focusing on her album.

This leads me to think she is gonna be off the boards for a little bit.

thatd be amazingly awesome if she did, but as others are saying, she probably wont
hope to see her in something else in the next couple years- she needs to get that tony award! :)
