So that week in July the people who leaped to buy tickets to this production just as it extended will now see O'Hara's understudy and a new King?

Auggie, yes, and for me, that is a reason to go.

yes the old King...was unintelligible and sounded like Elmer Fudd.
Almost anyone who speaks English is an improvement. Can't believe he was nominated for a Tony for that undecipherable performance.

My partner and I want to see The King and I while Kelli is on vacation (Betsy Morgan fan here-don't judge). I was wondering if anyone knows whether the rush might be an option while she's on vacation.

I think so, since the refunds line was huge when she was out a week or so ago. I want to do the same thing. I'm just wondering if the box office will allow those refunds since technically this is a scheduled absence whereas it wasn't when she was ill. That will be the deciding factor for whether or not there'll be rush tickets.
Since I already saw Kelli, I would LOVE to see Betsy Morgan (I am a big fan of hers). Too bad I don't live in NYC or I would be there in a heartbeat.

I could NOT disagree MORE.
But, back to the topic at hand, I'm glad the exchange worked out. The truth is always the best way to approach these situations. It's been my experience, as well, that they will try to find a solution. Even if they don't, technically, have to.
