I'm glad to know I wasn't the only person who couldn't find the comments in question at first.
How odd that they were removed (and thanks to whoever posted the comments). I wonder who decided to remove them?
I still don't think they were so controversial as to warrant removal. I happen to like Wildhorn more than most people, but don't think he was offended so much as to warrant removal of the post. Perhaps Kelli realized her mistake and asked for those remarks to be stricken? But if I were Playbill, I'd have said no. She made the comments, and should stand by them.
Very odd.

Question: so was she nude or not... or is that still unknown? And why was she naked? And for how long?
I don't understand why she would need to be... just doesn't make sense to me. It seems like they misled her and didn't tell her so she couldn't back out.

Korenglish, she was not totally nude, though she appeared to be. She was naked preparatory as Dracula's sacrifice. The nudity was extremely brief, tasteful, and dimly lit.
Didn't she also understudy Melissa Errico?
She was definitely naked, but it was very dimly lit and pretty brief.

She did not understudy Ms Errico (that would have been one of the vampire girls, her name escapes me....Elizabeth?, an excellent actress), and Ms O'Hara was most definately not totally nude, though she unquestionably appeared to be. Such is the magic of Broadway.
This is funny, i've never heard of her till Dracula
I don't even see this comment in there. Were is it? Am I Frickin' blind!

Well I never thought she was being bitchy, although I'm sure maybe some people may perceive her that way. She was refreshingly honest and blunt IMO. She doesn't come out and say that Franks music is garbage, and personally attack Frank. But she does make it clear that she liked working with everyone but him, she laughs AT J&H, and says she will never work with Frank again. So this is as much of a slam as Ive seen outside the LaChuisa article. Btw, I thought she was the best thing about Dracula.

I think many can read between the lines. I think she could have chosen her words a little more wisely...but oh well. Bluntness can be a cool thing in the right arena. However, someone wasn't happy, otherwise the article wouldn't have been edited a few hours after posting.
Truthfully, I wasn't a fan of Dracula except for her and Hewitt's performance and some of Wildhorn's music. She is truly a wonderful talent. The show sadly suffered more from its poor book and lyrics and also its overall concept/direction than its “frilly” music. Hopefully we'll eventually have the concept recording, despite whoever was wrong for recording it...some of the music was very good.

I think it's great when an actor speaks out about a bad theatre experience for them - people think that actors just grin and bear it so that they can stay employed - and often that is the case - but when you know you're in a flop - sometimes you are lucky when it closes so that you can move on to better experiences. I applaud her for her comments (shows guts, if you ask me) and it also shows that she's not afraid of not working with certain people again - sounds almost like she wouldn't even if given the opportunity. Actors aren't cattle, they have opinions, personalities and self respect (well, the lucky ones do),,,and they don't have to take the treatment that is so often doled out to them. I'd be pissed off also, if I was not allowed to be on the recording. Frankie really blundered with that whole nasty business.

i appplaud kelli for being honest and telling it like it is.
Megan Sikora (in Wicked now) was Melissa's understudy.

While Ms. Sikora was listed as understudy for both Ms. Errico & Ms. O'Hara, I'm pretty sure she never went on as Mina. It was Elizabeth Loyacano who went on for Ms. Errico.

I think redhotinny hit it right on the nose... I couldn't have said it better myself.
I'm sorry, but all I see is one question regarding how she feels about singing. And all she says is she prefers her soprano range rather than her belting. Where is she "slamming" Frank Wildhorn? Not trying to be obnoxious or anything, I just really don't see where she is saying anything that might cause controversy.
Kelli was most definitely naked when i saw Dracula. I'd never heard of her before, and wondered what the hell this talented girl was doing in such dreck.
wickedfan, i'm not posting this to be obnoxious or anything but did you bother to read this whole thread? the comments in question were deleted in the original playbill.com interview and you won't find them there anymore. however, someone on this board took the time out to copy and paste them and they can be found in their entirety on the third page of this thread.
