I wasn't even going to get to see this and I'm upset! I was really excited for my friends who would be going. That's such a bummer.

There's not a lot of point in going through the hassle of rescheduling a "reunion" concert for an event that just happened a few years ago...

But that aside - if there is a reason other than scheduling conflicts - its probably lack of ticket sales. That's the usual culprit...

Christine Baranski has a contract some where else that causes conflict. Apparently, the year notice since this concert was announced wasn't enough to get her affairs in order for 2 days...

I was really looking forward to this.

Is it bad that I'm crossing my fingers that the "scheduling conflict" has something to do with FOLLIES? I know it sounds naive but a boy can dream.

I think she'd be able to get out of two performances of FOLLIES to do a concert...

I don't understand how one could have "scheduling conflicts" that interfere with a two night engagement that she has known about for a year at the least, particularly if it was just something like Follies. Updated On: 4/10/07 at 05:24 PM

I can tell you for a fact that it was not lack of ticket sales...


I called to get tickets last week and they only had a few left for both shows. It was slim pickings.

Plus a friend of mine who works for the Kennedy Center said it was selling very very well.

Couldn't agree with you more WishingWells. Between the problems at the Warner, the lackluster schedule at the Kennedy Center next season (Besides the cabaret series of course), and this cancellation, the D.C. theater scene is a mess.

What is going wrong at Warner, FeelingElectric? It is pretty disheartening. =/

At least we have Signature Theatre. Ok so that's Northern Virginia but same difference. I'm still mad I missed Into the Woods.

Bleh. I'm going to have to deal with obnoxious Kennedy Center calls and mailers begging me to become a member for all time just because I ordered tickets to this cancelled concert. They sent me somthing a few months ago that detailed how I can leave money to the Kennedy Center in my will. I'm 22!

I was refering to the cancellation of shows at the Warner as the result of BACI's problems this past season (Problems shared by the Lyric here in Baltimore).
