She is one of my favourite broadway performers and i dont have many favouites.....never seen her obviously, but wow god her voice is soo defineably fantastic, i love her!!!!

I only saw Butler in LSOH and had NO problems with her vocally. I also have no problem with her taking Audrey in a different direction. I just felt like she was pulling away from the Greene interpretation but didn't know what other direction to go in. Her STG was great as was her scene during CBITM. Otherwise, I didn't think she was bad, but nothing amazing.

Alice Ripley was the BEST PART of the Florida production. Why WOULDN'T they have brought her into the Broadway production? It's not a weak point at all.

I loved Kerry before little shop and she's the reason I was so excited about it/went to see it. Plus her Bat Boyness, she's just awsome, and she seems so sweet!!

I'm in love with Kerry. She was my favorite before Eden . . . I saw her in "Hairspray" and she was a perfect Penny. As for "Little Shop...", I never saw it, but I also heard it was a direction thing. People would have criticized her for making her Audrey too much like Ellen's and other people would have ciritcized her for making it too much of her own. Point is, she really is a phenominal actress whether or not people didn't like her in "Little Shop..."

I extremely love Kerry Butler. I have never seen her perform, but I love what she does on the recordings. It's funny cause I got the LSOH recording first and just was amazed with her voice and then I was blew away by Bat Boy and Hairspray. I really want to see her perform in her next task. Maybe it'll be the Opposite of Sex or whatever, but I think she'll make it good. Yay for Kerry! I wonder what the sitcom her and LBB are trying to sell is?

Of course I think of what I really wanted to say just after I leave the house and I'm on the highway and gone for a few days! Anyway!
The seven (And two times in a single day.) times I saw Kerry in Little Shop I thought she was right on. Okay, well, THAT is besides the point, but finally, to the point because there is one!

No matter how much say an actor/actress has in the creation, or in this case recreation of a character, there is always someone (A director, maybe?) who has basically the final say in the portrayal of a character. Don't blame a performer every chance you get, it is quite possible, and even a little likely, they're just doing what is being asked of them.
