I had a very special conversation with Kevin Sorbo. Not only has he suffered a near-death experience, but now that he's recovered, he's considering a show on Broadway.

I've never heard of Carol Channing. Well, I've heard the name. And I knew she was a singer. But I've never heard OF her. So, I googled her and I still have no idea who she is or why anyone would talk about her.

Poor old Hercules; it reminds me of that exchange from "Tootsie:"
I'm just an untalented old has-been.
Were you ever famous?
No.
Then how can you be a has-been?
Even Fred Savage is more famous than Sorbo. I'm sure he's a lovely fella, but strictly H list.

Seriously, who is this guy? I mean, I know *who* he is, but who *is* he?

Why he is Mr and Mrs Sorbo's baby boy!

Is he taking a break from hosting right-wing fundamentalist propaganda? Such as this documentary in which he exposes such "lies" as the earth being billions of years old and men and women being equal?
Not at all to discount his great work in such projects as "Tommy and the Cool Mule."

Your work is spectacular, Dolly. Except for the little matter of using and re-using the word "entitled," which is to be frank, jarring. But you're entitled to use it as you see fit; languages evolve and change with the times or they shrivel up and die like that language the Catholic Mass used to be in.
Had I not read the interview, I don't think I ever would of heard of this man, who you say is among the country's finest authors. That is high praise, because this country has had more than a few fine authors. I especially liked when you compared his work, stylistically, to that of John Steinbeck. The time is right for this era's "Grapes of Wrath," we know that much to be true, and perhaps Kevin Sorbo will be the man to deliver it.
I also applaud your single-minded encouragement of the development of Kevin Sorbo as an artist. When he told you he had been offered what he called "the Richard Gere role" (I'm afraid I don't know who that is) in "Chicago," you eagerly suggested that he is, instead, the man who should bring Shakespeare back to Broadway, in "MacBeth," no less. I hope you have inspired him to aim big, to not be afraid of classical art, not to settle for small potatoes roles already occupied by someone name Richard Gere, again, I need to point out I have no idea who that is.
Please keep up the excellent work, without which I never would have heard of this renaissance man.

The writing flows beautifully and there’s a smoothness to it that ranks Sorbo with some of America’s finest authors.
Can you be more specific? Which smooth American authors does Sorbo rank with. You mention Steinbeck, which seemed unlikely, but which others?
