King & I-Linctix Question

I'm looking at getting tickets for The King and I next month and had a question. While I have a Linctix account, my mother does not. Does the box office check IDs regularly, or would I be able to buy one with my account and another with a friend's account who hasn't used their ticket yet? The cheapest tickets right on telecharge are $157 right now and I just can't afford that! Thanks for the help!

They did not check my ID back in April but I wouldn't chance it. It has been regularly on TKTS if that is an option for you.

They checked my ID when I went. He actually stared at it for quite a while. So yeah, I wouldn't chance it either. It would be different if you had the physical ticket.

I would definitely not do that unless your friend can come to the box office with you and pick up her ticket with her Id and just give it to you. Once you pick up the ticket no one will care or check. You could also just student rush it and maybe have a friend go with you and get a rush ticket for your mom. Same idea.
