Melbourne's King Kong posted on their Facebook an album with the caption "LOOK WHO'S GOING TO BROADWAY!!!!" Can anybody confirm this?

Yes! The musical will take place at the top of the Empire State Building! Seating will be a hanging platform way out over NYC. It's going to be a new way of doing theater...
As in an answer to your question, yes, its coming to Broadway...when is the real question!
If the show is good, maybe we will get a spinoff musical: The Love affair between King Kong and Spiderman: A new Musical.
as soon as Spiderman leaves the Foxwoods Theater.
The other day when I saw Spider-Man, as I walked by the stage door before the show there were a few guys wearing polos with the King Kong logo on them marking stuff down on clipboards talking to people. So who knows?
It is going into The Foxwoods. Not going to say when, but the theater will be dark for 6 months to restore and prep for Kong.

Does this mean Spiderman is going to close or move to a another theater?
^ Spider-Man will not be moving to another theatre. Too much money, and its grosses have been dismal the past few weeks. Plus, there's no theatres open that could accommodate Spider-Man.
King Kong looked pretty cool from the promo photos and videos. Full Moon Lullaby is a beautiful song. I would love to see this make its way to Broadway, and the Foxwoods would be a perfect fit.

Bummer for Spiderman's investors. But, Kong looks pretty radical!
Kong, will be ripped apart by New York critics if it arrives in its current state, the show needs to focus on what it wants to be, a musical, an event, a play.
Confirmed in the Australian papers this morning, Kong will open on Broadway with in the next two years. Creative team are looking at theatres this week, and work starts on a second puppet soon.

Wonder what the other theatres the producers are looking at? I would guess The Palace and possibly the Broadway.

No venue is right for this show, not until they scrap the whole lot and get another creative team in; those that are detractors of Spiderman haven't seen anything yet. The $80 spent on alcohol during the intermission was the best spending I've ever done for a show, otherwise I'm sure I would have developed a brain aneurysm from sheer confusion at what the hell was being watched. Truth be told, it was the multiple fluke glasses of champagne and midori that clarified that the show is in fact, ****.
No, you heard it wrong. King Kong ain't coming to Broadway. CAROLE King is --next month - Beautiful: The Carole King Musical begins previews. Get with the program. Spread the word about the right King.
:)
I've heard that Spiderman will be gone by January...

At least give King Kong a chance. geez
Would you prefer a revival? Although revivals are great - 'we' tend to complain about those too so let's give it a shot and see what it can do.
I liked the music I heard. (The woman in the lead has a gorgeous voice-I hope they bring her over. She's really good.)
So the title role will be played by a woman? I wonder if the Fay Wray role gets recast to be played by a male.
All i have to say is this is probly one of the dumbest ideas ive heard since High School Musical. Really whats next, Forest Gump the musical?
as long as it makes money, investors will be happy. That's all they worry about. Unfortunately, not seeing a show as a hit that can make back its investment is why so many shows aren't produced anymore
