Kismet revival?

I've only recently become enamored of the wonderful music in Kismet, and have checked out some of the recordings: Doretta Morrow, Alfred Drake, Richard Kiley (amasing voice), Vic Damone, Ann Blyth, Dolores Gray, etc. Great stuff. I understand the book has some problems, but my main question: could a revival work today on Broadway, or would it be too "problematic"? If this has been covered before, excuse me and point me to the right thread.

The last time I saw KISMET was the Ecores! production quite a few years ago. Both Marin Mazzie and Stokes were sublime but the juveniles were horrendous (they were so bad I won't even mention their names).and hampered by hideous costumes.
I don't recall the book being problematic. With the right cast, it could be excellent.

It would be a great opportunity to employ an entirely Arab-American/Muslim cast, director, and book contributor.
Without that, it's an absolute no-go.
Gorgeous score, though.

There was one thread about this a few years back that I recall, if it's helpful:
