Does anyone know if "Kiss the Air" by Scott Alan is from one of his musicals or was a song composed specifically for Dreaming Wide Awake?

And if not, and I was going to sing it for an audition would I say I'll be sining "Kiss the Air" by Scott Alan from Dreaming Wide Awake, or just leave that last part out?

I want to apologize for some offensive messages posted on this board under my name. The night 0f 12-15-08 I did not have internet access, and someone had used my name to post something offensive. My avatar was also changed. I dont' know what else was posted, or if anyone recieved bad PMs, but I want to apologize for that. I've changed my password, and even though I was not the one posting these messages it still needed to be corrected.

if my gayness serves me correctly I think it's from Warmth of the Womb a new show he is writing... or Detour an old one.

According to the liner notes:

Written as a stand alone, but inspired his first musical "Detour". It does not specifically say whether or not it was actually used IN the show.

I think the linear notes themselves strongly imply that it wasn't...

From Scott Alan's Youtube account:

"'Kiss the Air' was the first complete song that I ever finished. I wrote this song two weeks into my parents divorce. I wasn't very close with either my mother or father growing up but my mother was hurting and all she wanted was answers. Well, I couldn't give her answers, but I wrote her. I recorded it in a low budget studio and sent it to her with a note saying 'If Dad was man enough, I wish these were the words he would have said to you before he left.'

As strange as it sounds, and as horrible as the divorce was for everyone, this song is what helped connect my mother and I. For the very first time she saw that I wasn't just a dreamer living in a fantasy. "

Wow! Thanks! I don't have the actual CD, I got it iTunes. I just wanted to know if it was from an actual musical before I sang it for my audition.
