According to today's Parade, Kristen Bell wants back on Broadway. http://community.livejournal.com/veronica_mars/1002708.html
So let's assume the worst happens and Veronica Mars gets cancelled. And fantasy casting for next season? She could probably replace Sutton in Drowsy Chaperone if it lasts that long and I think she could pull off Elle in Legally Blonde.
Anyone?

After playing a smart blond like Veronica Mars, dont you think playing Elle Woods would kind of be like a retread in a way that they are both blond and achieve success in crime solving.
I think VM is being picked up for CW's fall schedule. I believe.
J'ADORE Kristen Bell.

But I believe (and hope) that Veronica Mars will be back next season.
When the show IS over, though, I would love to see her on Broadway!

I don't think so - the part of Elle would be more of a retread of her Reefer Madness character, if anything. I just think she has the charm to pull it off while still presenting a sympathetic character.
I have high hopes for VM, but until there's an official announcement, I'm speculating. :)
Veronica Mars hasn't officially been picked up by the CW, but I'm pretty sure it will be.
I think she would make a great Elle Woods, even though the character isn't exactly something new for her. She was fantastic in Reefer Madness.
If she could handle it, she'd be a riot as Glinda. I can also see her as Elle Woods and Kim MacAfee.

I doubt she has the soprano to be Glinda - and as much as I'd love her to get a role like that, I'd like to she a short blonde on Broadway who hasn't been in Wicked.

3> VM.
It is such an awesome show. Thank god, the night I switched from Jack and Bobby (I miss that show!), I found VM and fell in love with it.

Yeah, I think she'd be great as Glinda, but doubt she has the range. Maybe she could like a 3 Month stint in something over the summer.
If she did play Elle, I'd actually go see Legally Blonde.
We'll wait. Like any fine wine, Kristin Bell will keep. And keep getting better. I was lucky enough to get an advance screener of "Veronica Mars" and I remember telling everyone in Hollywood that this girl was one of the best young actors I had ever seen (and I loved her as the murdered ****** hooker in f**king Deadwood). AND THEN to find out she has major musical comedy chops. All my fellow producers thanked me for turning them onto this show from episode one. I just adore her. She is absolutely the next Mrs. Me.
#1. If they cancel Veronica Mars the people at the new CW don't have a brain in their heads or any taste for that matter. Pair it up with the Gilmore Girls and you have an exceptional night of television.
#2. I definitely think she would do great on Broadway again, but would like to see her in a more dramatic show.

chances are, she will wind up in the "mamma mia!" movie.
