I agree...All they were doing was following the same path as Pat Robertson...spreading hate. I love Kristin!

I'm on my way to get her cd now! Can't wait to listen to it, I heard clips on her website and her voice is just amazing...nothing I didn't already know:)

I just got her cd. Though I am very religious, I've never been a fan of strictly Christian songs, but I LOVE this cd. Her voice is so beautiful, especially when she is just quiet and gentle.

Oh my... I just finished listening to "Upon This Rock." The end is AMAZING, talk about an "ear-gasm."

Right. I'm not even bothering with the boycott thread, because I can't imagine anything being said there that wasn't already said when she was rumored to be performing at Bush's inauguration. I like Chenoweth's singing and I'm sticking with that opinion. If I don't get her CD it'll be because music about loving Jesus makes me want to poke out my eardrums with a spork.

I agree that there are quite a few right wing republican nutsos...but I am a republican who has respect for all people and their beliefs. ANd I love a nice big dose of sarcasm after a long day of work

While I do not encourage boycotts or blacklists, we are NOT talking about tolerating a different opinion here. Kristin appeared on a show which constantly uses the name of Jesus to raise large sums of money by spewing the most hateful, dangerous and false messages against gay people. We must draw a line and not use this "difference of opinion toleration argument" because we enjoy her singing or for any other reason. If that argument is taken to the extreme, should we tolerate dictators and others who hate and kill in the name of religion? She cant have it both ways. At this point, I would urge Kristin to issue a strong statement against the hate spewed by Robertson or she will lose many fans. Anita Bryant's friend Kathie Lee learned that same lesson--read history folks.

Not to be a buzzkill or anything here, Lou, but the point of this thread was saying positive things about Kristin. What you said would be more appropriate on the boycott thread. I think we're just trying to keep it positive here.

I adore Kristin! I am not sure if I am going to buy her cd or not, simply because I am Jewish. I am going to think very hard about this. Can anyone tell me, is it very "Jesus-y"?

Did anyone see her on The Early Show today? I liked the song, but I wish she would have done something that REALLY shows what an amzaing singer she is.

I was (am???) a fan and want this message on both sites. My last few sentences clearly gave a positive suggestion, read it again. She could have advertised on PAX rather than go directly to Robertson. It was a bad career move.
