I'm a really big fan of Chenoweth, and I'm sadden to see so many people at this board who is very angry with her.
I hate to admit it, but even I can't excuse why she would appear on the 700 Show considering it's agenda towards the gay community, and considering that Kristin does not seem to share their ideals towards gay and lesbians. To me, the best she looks in that situation is someone who just went on the show, while ignoring her beliefs, to try to get buyers for her CD. However, she is in show business and she'll do what she must in order to survive. Not saying it's wrong, but it doesn't put her in the most positive light.
However, I think the anger towards Chenoweth by others is just over-the-top. Chenoweth went on the show and didn't proclaim she openly endorses everything the 700 Club stood for. In fact, when they kept questioning her about her appearances on the West Wing, a show they consider ultra left-wing propaganda, she said she felt more Christians should be open-minded. Even though it isn't necessarily a defense for gays and lesbians, it is a more positive message that Chenoweth gave that I feel the angry posters are ignoring.
Really though. I think most of the over-the-top protester are just people who weren't huge on Chenoweth to begin with and aren't willing to look at the gray area regarding this issue. I also feel some haven't liked her for a while and jumped at this opportunity to bash her.
