This isn't as impromptu as it seems, as it happens at each concert locale. I'm sure they audition and rehearse as well. (The vid was pulled.) I've heard about this from about 3 other sources and the singer is always good, or charming or adorable.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The teenager who was picked in Baltimore was very excited but was positively tone deaf. Not so sure it's completely planned who gets picked in each city, but this little girl stood up in the center orchestra and waved at Kristin to pick her before she even finished the previous song.

I looked up the singer, Lindsay Roberts (this link works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dabgakLd14U), and she is a professional singer and actually was just in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Megan Hilty. Kristin was saying like, "I've never heard her sing... but I have a special feeling about her!" and acted after like, "Omg who ARE you??"... but she must have known. Hi. I actually know FOR A FACT that Kristin had never heard Lindsay sing. The story that Kristin tells right before they start to sing is the truth. But I'm sure Lindsay is flattered that you feel she was a "planted" guest. The link attached shows Kristin telling the actual story.

Oh, I don't doubt that Kristin never heard her sing... but perhaps knew she was a professional? Lindsay had posting several days before the concert on her website (facebook or website, can't recall) that she'd be performing with Kristin that weekend. So, not a "plant" but def pre-planned... nothing wrong with that! She was amazing!
