I am seriously excited about this. I love West Wing! Yay for Kristin - she'll be great. Anyone know when she'll start appearing in episodes?

I don't know but I can't believe the season doesn't start til the 20th. Ughhhh I really don't wanna wait! Not for Kristin I mean, for the season begin.

Does this mean that she will no longer do The Apple Tree at Encores! because if that is so I will puke.

Think she'll be great and perhaps she will be providing comic relief or really surprise us! Now I'll have to start watching The West Wing.

Love Kristin behind glass, but like her better on stage, which is why I will flip my lid if she cancels at Encores!

Beav-do you know what season he was on or what his role was...I really wanna look out for him. Yeah it's a great show. I saw a few episodes on Bravo last year and became absolutely addicted. It's so smart and it gives you a glimpse of a world you wouldn't know about to that extent. Don't you just wish there were really people like them running our own government? That there were people who actually cared and you weren't forced to choose between the lesser of two evils...although in this election the more evil of the two is clearly evident.

At best it's an "unrisky" move. If the show gets cancelled, it won't be her fault!
It will be nice to see her act, still haven't figured out, as someone said, whether she's just playing herself all the time...although a media consultant, wouldn't be to far off.
Busy woman, I'll give her that much.

What are your sources for this? Shooting a television show like The West Wing can be extremely time demanding depending in how many episodes she will appear in.

I HOPE she is. I already bought my tickets and although a big part is because I love the show, another part of it is because I want to see Kristin tackle the trio of leading women, something I have been suggesting for years.

Get back to me!

I am not hoping that she will be in The West Wing, I am hoping that she will still be part of The Apple Tree at Encores! in May. Sorry, my fault. Didn't make that very clear in the post.

Hey! My mom and I watch west wing all the time so i am EXTREMELY excited becuase Kristin can make any role look equally as amazing whether it be on stage or small screen. Is she starting with the new season the 20th? Or is she comming in later..if so does anyone know when?

filming for the West Wing ends in Feb/March (source for that is one of the producers)
and she's contracted for Encores, which only runs rehearsals for 8 days prior to the shows.

West Wing is my favorite show! I'm very excited Kristen will be in it. I'm not too sure how her character will fit in though.

Okay, Spooky! I trust you. Sorry, I know very well about the schedules of sitcoms that perform for live audiences, because that is pretty basic, but have no idea about the filiming of 1 hour drama. Just theatre! Knew about the rehearsal period and performance shedule of Encores!, but not of The West Wing. Glad this clarifies it! Thanks!

You have to give her credit. There aren't a lot of regular gigs for women over 35 and she seems to be chalking up roles in television and film.

Unfortunately as soon as I heard this I had flashbacks to the absolutely annoying character Emily Procter played. Kinda feel she be put in the same, "here's our right wing conservative character but look she's cute." oh well maybe she'll sing for the Xmas episode.

Now, is she in the episode on the 20th it does just say that that is when the new season is beginning.
