I thought I had replied to it, but cyberspace ate it. I was wondering if they will do a bit about C.J. (Allison Janney), the previous press secretary, at 6 ft. plus, and cheno at ?? Some podium bit or something. Can't cut it down, because the Pres. does occasionally speak at it too, although Martin Sheen is no giant. Of course, if they choose to ignore it, anything is possible in television.

As someone who deals with podiums on a fairly regular basis, I can tell you that the podium doesn't usually change - they are a pretty standard height. The microphone height can change and the person speaking stands on a box of some kind of they are too short. I guess they could make a custom podium for the White House but it wouldn't make much sense as it really isn't a podium for the press secretary - its for all press briefings from the White House so lots of people of various heights would be using it.
And you are correct, Martin Sheen isn't particularly tall. I recall Pres. Barlett asking C.J. once if she was particularly tall one day. Her response was "No, I'm my usual height".

Bwah!
I'm sure they could use certain tricks (Janney walking around barefoot, short cast members using elevator shoes, Janney standing behind others) to make the height difference less extreme.

This will be GREAT.
Love for West Wing + Love Cheno = HUGE LOVEFEST

David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

it's a pretty extreme difference in the heights-no need to hide it,though.CJ's stature has often been referred to in the show.."you're a freakishly tall woman"...

In the previews someone gets asked to resign. Sounds like it's Josh with the whole SUV accident. But I heard Kristin was only on for a few episodes so maybe it is her. Anyone know?

OMG! She was adorable! It's like they put Glinda in the White House. Anyone else catch the 'loathe', and 'you're welcome'? Haha! She was great.

I couldn't handle the "popular" flashes.

I thought it was hilarious when they played up her shortness. FunnyFunny. Maybe they will get her to sing at some point.

Okay, I enjoy Kristin, but please tell me you're joking about her singing on West Wing...
And "you're welcome" killed me.

That was hysterical when they had her behind th epodieum (Butchered that one...) And then again when she slid into the seat. That was awesome.

The bit with the podium was great. That's the first West Wing episode I've seen in ages, thanks in part to my class being cancelled.

Well being a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge huuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of Kristin Chenoweth, I loved the episode! I loved all the "Popular" moments, and the podium thing was so funny! And did anyone else cath the part after she stands behind the podium and that guy (cant remember his name..) leaves in frustration and she sighs exasperatingly and falls into the chair, so like she wasnt sitting on the chair correctly to make her look taller, but when she sat correctly she went dooown haha I heart her!

SallyBrown, that's what I meant when i said 'slid into the chair', I just couldn't phrase it correctly. Lol. That was so funny.
