Kristina-The Musical. New York, London and DVD

Kristina is the inspiring story of one woman and her family’s struggle in Sweden and their subsequent emigration to America in search of a better life.
With stirring music by Benny Andersson and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA fame, this moving musical production has won awards, critical acclaim and is the most popular musical theatre piece in Swedish history.

The incredibly successful musical was presented in concert for two special nights, 23rd and 24th Sept last year, at New Yorks Carnegie Hall.

The DVD recording of the New York concerts is available on DVD in the UK on April 12th just 2 days prior to the concert being staged at London's Royal Albert Hall.

OK OK! now, I have two press releases here and neither actually state CD or DVD or even both???

What else lurks at the bottom of that list? mmm?

Post it me -PLEASE!

There is a lot of good music in it and if I were in town I would see this - even with Russell Watson.

Loving the new live recording double CD. Roll on tomorrow night.

Picked this up at Dress Circle today - Kevin Odekirk was there, weirdly, and the cashier was rather eagerly pimping out his (rather awesome-sounding) solo album at the same time. I can't go to the concert tomorrow so the CD will have to do.

Only just had a chance to start listening to it - it's... well, it's Kristina Fran Duvemala in English. You couldn't ask for a better interpreter for this kind of material than Herbie Kretzmer, and the voices are superb. Some of the orchestrations are a bit funny being so used to the original album, but I'm sure I'll get used to those.

If you go to the concert give us a report!

Yes, Mama...
