Ok so i just saw some pics of him singing with Marty Thomas at standing ovations 3 and he was singing "as long as you're mine"...which raises my question....IS he gay??
*waits with baited breath*
Ok..then i'm gonna continue to believe no..he didn't act gay...the marty thomas thing scared me though :)
I'm not going to out anyone on this board...but how would you feel if you were Kris reading this board and there is a thread devoted to your sexuality? just not right...
(and I'm not saying this just because I personally know Kris, I feel this way about people asking anyone's sexuality.)

W/e....people bash other's talent on this board....and I'm saying he's GORGEOUS..and i was curious because he sang a love/sexual duet with another male. By doing that he raises questions AND if he is gay *which i don't think he is* he is probably a PROUD homosexual. All the homosexuals I KNOW are proud to be and they wouldn't be embarrassed or hurt by someone wondering.
And like I said-If i sang a sexual song with a female I would expect questions too...
I asked a question because i found him charming and gorgeous when i met him..and wanted to know if someone that fantastic would actually be straight. Sorry if i offended you-Or Kris.

I do not KNOW for a fact whether he is or not, but from what I observed when I met him, I would guess yes. In any case, he is so talented and incredibly sweet. I've never seen him go on as Fiyero on Broadway but I did see him perform at Standing Ovations and I can't wait to see him in Chicago. And he really is one of the most genuinely nice people I have met, it was a real pleasure talking to him

well, I DO know that Kris doesn't read this board, though he has been told that he should.
I would guess yes. I've seen him go on as Fiyero, and he didn't have much chemistry with Jen, although maybe it was just because he hasn't gone on enough. But I would guess yes.
I met him too..spent about an hour and a half with him...and it didn't cross my mind..but now i'm wondering cuz he played angel *which i didn't see* and he sang the duet with marty.
Either way i'm a big fan, and he is gorgeous and sweet. I don't think if he did read this he would be offended because I'm just curious and I think the world of him!
I bought tickets to the wicked sit down already cuz i'm dying to see him as Fiyero. 3rd row in June! yay!
so sorry if anyone is offended by this, I didn't mean it to be!

uuummm.. a lack o chemistry witha female star does not make someone gay. not every man haschemisty with every woman.. just FYI
I said maybe because he hasn't gone on enough, meaning that he may be straight but just hasn't gotten into the role yet. Even David Ayers doesn't have that much chemistry with Jen, and he's straight. I wasn't saying anything rude; don't take it the wrong way.
OMG i totally didn't say he had a lack of chemistry with a female character! i have yet to see him perform in a show *He sang to us at the meet the artist thing* but I haven't seen him perform a role yet. From what I saw he is an amazing performer and I have NO doubt he will have amazing chemistry with whoever he performs with. I just saw PICTURES of him singing with Marty and it arose the question.
*EDIT* that wasn't to me...SORRY!!
I don't really see why it matters, to be honest. And I have no idea if he or isn't, but I thought he was a fairly good Fiyero.

Just because he sang a duet with a guy doesn't mean he's gay. They were playing around, goofing off for the theater crowd, showing off Marty's Elphaba.
At Harvey Fierstein's farewell party, Jon Dokuchitz and Serge Kushnier sang "Almost Paradise" from Footloose, complete with lovey-dovey looks. That doesn't make Serge gay.
What a ridiculous question...

Just because someone played Angel doesnt mean they are gay either. Wilson Heredia originated the role and won the Tony, Hes not gay.
The thread is clueless, who cares, duh! He is a great performer!
It scared you that Kris might be gay? Why is that?
Whether he's gay or str8, this is musical theatre, someone's up onstage singing their face off for you for 2-3 hours. What business is it of yours or anyone else who he sleeps with? c'mon, it's 2005.

And FYI-- Upstage isn't a REAL boyband.. it's called a performance.
Uh, I always thought he was out. It is not a secret. It is not outting someone if they are no longer closetted. From the OBC probably up until around when Shoshana got the standby role, it is said that the only straight males in the show were Norbert, Joel/Sean/George, Bill, Anthony, Christopher, and maybe a few others were the only straight males.
BTW, feel free to discuss what you want. This is a message board. When someone seems offended by a thread like this, they make it seem like there is a negative stigma or something wrong w/ being gay. Geeze, Idina's tongue, Kris's sexual orientation...potatoe, potahtoe.
Thanks Elphabuff!
and btw guys...CALM DOWN!! I said i was just curious..it scared me because I think he's gorgeous and i was sad that he doesn't like my kind! geez! i'm not some horrible person who is anti-gay! far from it!
Put your judging aside for a while! i was just wondering. And from what i hear now he's very open so...!
no more topic..pretend it doesn't exist.
Let's all pretend you actually used the shift key, too.
Aaaah, I feel better already.
Camthom, you're right. It's 2005. That's why it should no longer be considered an invasion of "privacy" to discuss a performer's sexual orientation. If it remains a "private" issue, then why are we fighting for public recognition of gay marriage, gay soldiers, gay rights in the business world, gay adoption, etc. Let's all just keep silent about who we are.
