Also, where were you sitting? What was the view like?

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

I was sitting in the front row of the mezz. I didn't notice any renovations to the Marquis at all, but I hadn't been there in quite a while so don't take my word that nothing was done.

And I couldn't disagree more about there being no chemistry between Davis & Beach. I found their romance so sweet and the two had me in tears in the last scene. It was something really special.

Thanks for the great review!

I just bought tickets for tonights performance thanks to you. I want to see the show before the start chopping away at it to cut the running time. It seems the dance numbers are always the first to be shortened.

God, I hope that's not the case here. The dance numbers are truly among the most exciting I've ever seen on the stage.

It IS possible to shorten a show's running time without removing anything at all.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I can not wait to see this production!!! A True, Big Theatrical production!! Opps did I say that out loud? Sorry! I am taking my mom and dad to see it and I am thrilled to see their reactions. This show was their absolute favorite when they saw the original. I am in love with the butler from the Nanny so, it will be great to see him and RUTH WILLIAMSON!!! I adore that lady. Ok, I'm done =D

I was there last night as well and I was blown away with how well-casted the show was. I don't think I could have asked for anything more when it came to the cast. It was an amazing production all around, the sets, costumes, the choreography. All of it was incredible. Gary Beach was amazing, I wish that I could have heard Gavin Creel sing more, but such is the part. I encourage anyone who wants to see a great show to go and see this. And I agree with Matt_G, I don't really think it is necessary for them to cut anything, although the show was rather long, I didn't feel that it was and I was acutally really surprised when I saw what time it was. But yes, amazing show, please go and see it!

Can't wait!

Thanks Matt!

Thanks, Matt !!! Bunch of us are going to see it on 12/10 after work. Cant wait !!!

And Tiny... take the "Bklyn" c**p to one of your other 400 threads.... and enough with the standing ovation nonsense. That does not make the show any good !!

Thanks for the review, I can not WAIT to see this... PS Josh Walden is absolutely phenominal. He coreographed Carousel at the summer stock company I was a part of this summer. I'm so excited for him, even more so now that he got mentioned in such a high regard!!! Yay! =P
